#cutestthingever
My phantom child will look exactly like this. Image stolen from Kenyan Stylista's facebook page, and I don't even care.

Sharing the Spotlight with Whitney in the Sunday Papers (haaa...!)
"Locally the bloggers getting attention include Nancie Mwai's The Fashion Notebook, Sylvia Njoki and Annabel Onyango, a stylist who blogs under dressupnation.blogspot. Most of our bloggers double as Stylists and writers.... "
- A Stylist's Style (Sunday Nation)
"Blogging is like journaling and the more regular you are, the more traffic you generate. If you are about the money and the fame do not start a blog. That is the first step to failure. Also, know your strengths when it comes to fashion. Is it streetwear? Accessories? Documenting people and places? Shoes? Jewellery? Find your forte and stick with it. Most of all, do it because you enjoy it."

"Yes, We Can"
Louis Philippe D., Stylist from Tunis |
Isn't this extraordinary? There's a lot happening here, and it isn't exactly my aesthetic, but isn't this a fantastic example of what people can come up with when they refuse to confine themselves to conventions about what you can and can't do with clothes... and in life?
Taken from a favourite of mine, LOOKBOOK.nu
PS: I lived in Tunis for a few months some years ago, and would never have thought that something like this could be passable in a place like that.

License to Thrill, but no pix :-(
Ok, so I went to the License to Thrill party on Saturday (cool retro poster, right?) hosted by the gorgeous Ann Mcreath, but I had camera issues and couldn't take photos like I usually do. Feeling spare without my street-style agenda, I actually had to sit and visit with my friends. All the lounging and leisurely sipping on cocktails without the hectic run-around of being a style paparazzo was quite the novel experience. I wore this vintage tunic in mint (open chest panel) with a pair of stacked booties I bought in anticipation of a looming Kenyan winter.
